The X-Over Function on Telsie
One of the Telsie 's unique features is its two crossover controls.
At first glance, this function seems a bit unusual.
Crossovers on a vintage EQ remake? No?
YES!!!
These two controls allow you to set the point at which Telsie's three frequency bands blend into one another.
Do you like particularly airy highs? Telsie can make that happen!
Simply set the high band to boost the high frequencies at a significantly higher crossover frequency than the default 7 kHz.
Slide the mid and high crossover frequency control to the right.
For example, you can significantly boost the high frequencies with the 15 kHz shelf to achieve this refined, open sound without introducing unwanted frequencies at 7 or 8 kHz.
Another application of the crossover control delivers excellent results in the bass range.
In peak filter mode, for example, you can limit the right side of the bell curve by sliding the low-mid crossover control to the left. This allows you to significantly boost the bass without making the frequencies above 300 Hz muddy.
Did I mention our harmonics yet? They can be used to drastically shape the signal if needed.
